Administrative Assistant - Carol Swanson
Carol joined BUMC in November 2014 and accepted the position as the Church Office Secretary as of September 2015. Carol was born in Rockford, Illinois, and lived there most of her life.  She is a middle child, with an older Sister, Lynn, and a younger brother, Steve.  She was a regional manager for a financial advisor company and assisted in the training of the advisors.  She then worked at an architectural company in Louisiana.  After living in Louisiana for a few years, she retired early and moved to Florida to be closer to her family.  Carol was confirmed in the Lutheran Church while living in Illinois.  She worked with the youth there and taught VBS.  While living in Louisiana, she chaired the Habital for Humanity on raising funds and building two homes.
One of Carol's spiritual gifts is intercession.  She has seen God work through prayer in her own life.  BUMC has been and continues to embrace and provide for her in her spiritual journey.

Vicki has been a member of BUMC since 2003 and joined the staff in 2011 as our Business Manager.  She works four days a week in Ocala doing the accounting for several small companies. She also has her own personal ministry as a Crown Financial Advisor. Vicki has been married to Steve for 42 years and they have two grown sons, eight grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

Jim and Juanita have been members of BUMC since 2003 and joined the staff in January of 2015. Juanita serves as our chair of Missions and Jim serves on building & grounds crew. Together they serve also as our Communion Stewards in worship. They are the parents of three grown sons with eleven grandchildren. Jim also serves as the custodian for a Jewish congregation in The Villages.

Kevin and his wife Mary have been serving with love at BUMC for eighteen years now where Kevin leads our Contemporary Service Praise Team - "The Prisoners of Hope."  Kevin lives out faith by helping the congregation make a joyful noise in praising the Lord, seeking to shine a spotlight on His finished work. Nothing more, nothing less.  Hebrews 10:22-23

Susan Leighton joined BUMC's leadership team in November of 2018.  She has a rich history of serving in music ministry, and finds great joy in helping to lead worship.  Susan is married to Randy, and is a mother and grandmother.  In the past, she has worked extensively in youth and children's ministry, and she brings a lot of joy and energy to our worship services.

Tami Locklear joined BUMC as the Director of our Traditional Worship Choir in the fall of 2018.  She brings an energy and excitement about worshiping God that enhances our worship services.  Tami believes in the power of prayer, and her life exudes the joy of the Holy Spirit.  Tami is always open to new members who want to lend their voices in worship.

Jody joined BUMC as a teenager growing up in Belleview. Her family moved north for a time, but Jody returned to Belleview in 1984 with her parents and her children and picked right back up in the ministries of BUMC. For the last thirty years, Miss Jody has worked in our church nursery on Sundays and for weekly activities and has also taught the nursery Sunday school class. While she has three adult children and six grandchildren all living here in Belleview, there are countless children and adults in our congregation who consider Miss Jody to be an extra grandma!
